He Will Exalt You In Due Time...

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1 Peter 5:6-7

As a child of God your faith is built not on what you can see, but on the words recorded in today’s focus verses in due time… The words in due time provided motivation to the unmotivated and strength to the weak… You can continue to fight the good fight and stand on the promises of God knowing that even though you may appear to be down you won’t lose… The words recorded in the passage let you know that he careth for you… When you care about something you contemplate it, it’s on your mind and you are concerned about it… I don’t know about you, but I am glad that God has me on His mind; I find motivation in knowing that He’s concerned about me and that concern is what led Him to send His only begotten son to this earth… The fact that God cares is enough to let me know that He will not put more on me than I can bear nor will he allow me to be utterly cast down… Sure, I may feel pressure at times, I may feel distraught at times, but I can walk in faith knowing the promise of God (in due time) will be fulfilled… Rest assured today that the enemy will not win, the war will not be lost and you will not fail… You may experience heartache, you may face storms of uncertainty, but you have an anchor whose name is Jesus that will bring stability to the most unstable situation and easy the aching heart within you… Understand today that your faith is anchored in Gods timing not yours… The Lord will show up and show out; it just may not happen when you want it to… So many of us stumble not because we lack faith but because we lack faith in God’s timing… We pray about situations and leave them with Him, only to take up the fight with our own hands because we dare to believe that our prayer went unanswered… Your faith is not about seeing God move; your faith is about knowing that He will…  The challenge that we face in our Christian journey is walking the course that nobody else is on… The task at hand is holding to God’s unchanging hand even though it may appear that letting go is more secure… Your test is to display your faith before God even displays His faithfulness… This is what Peter means about humility… You must stay the course and remain under the authority of the most High God even when others ridicule, despise and persecute you…

Make no mistake about it; your faith which you proclaim on Sunday’s will be tested throughout all the other days of the week… Just like when you bow before the Lord at alter call, you must continue to bow before Him when the enemy comes in like a flood and you are ready to vacate your home… There are a lot of people who may seem like they have us beat and the way to obtain success figured out; however, we rest assured in the fact that our success and exaltation comes from above… Through our study today we are encouraged to seek humility and learn to remain humble even when we are pressed to choose another path… This is not to be confused with surrendering your thoughts and abilities to man, you are called to Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God… How strong is your faith? Think about it as we examine these scriptures taken from 1 Peter the 5th chapter… The fact of the matter is that God knows what you stand in need; he sees your aches, your valleys, and your mountains! He knows all too well the course of rocky plains and hurdles that lay before you, the question is do you truly believe that? To humble yourself is to sacrifice your focus and shift to the authority of another! Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God; go through the trials and tribulations, face the storms that rage and intensify knowing through Faith that God is with you, knowing that trials come and serve purposes in our lives and as the psalm writer said, believe that “we will understand it better by and by…” There will be many things that don’t make sense, many problems that we don’t want to face, but it is through these circumstances that God is asking the first question, how strong is your faith? Before you can be blessed, God must be assured that you are ready, before you can be exalted God must be assured that you are ready for exaltation! Growing involves growing pains, maturing involves spiritual and physical adjustments… We were made in his image, and he is trying to bring his image out since it has been clouded by our own desires! You will be exalted in due time, your breakthrough is coming, your victory is assured, and your triumph has been ordained under the heavens! So don’t become weary, don’t give up, don’t settle, but press toward the mark, hold your head up, and keep the faith! Cast all your cares on the Lord, when your struggling, Pray; when your hurt, Pray; when your back is against the wall, Pray, when you feel alone or isolated, Pray…. Cast all your cares upon him. Everything that is on your mind, take it to the Lord in prayer, knowing that he hears you, but more importantly, believing that he will step in, in DUE TIME!!!

BE BLESSED!!!
